Our Lunch @ 鼎太风

We had our lunch at 鼎太风 and Kaeden really love the food there. He took us by surprise with the amount of food he ate!

4/6 dumplings... 1/2 bowl of noodle...



... and a whole plate of his favorite pork chop! Haha... if only every meal can be like this!

Kaeden's 5th Birthday Celebration in GH

Kaeden was looking forward to today's celebration with his teachers and classmates since he heard about it few days ago. He even offered to help me pack his goodies bag if I have not done so (which I gladly assigned him the task).




He woke up all excited and ready to leave for school! Walker hurried out to drive the car down while both of us waited for him at the void deck.





The little children are no longer the shy toddlers of yesteryears. They felt so grown up now, engaging in proper conversation with me. It feels sad knowing that Kaeden won't be able to graduate from Kindergarten together with them :(

Princess "Not-so-Gentle"

The toy was in an upright position before I left Ash in her stroller for a short toilet break. When I came back, I saw her waving her hands and kicking her feet excitedly...

A closer look... and WOW... she has managed to 'bring' the entire toy down to her feet level and happily used it as a leg rest!




Ash ah... You are a girl leh!

Does SHE really dislike Cereal so much?

It has been few days since I restarted Ash on rice cereal but sadly, I am still seeing her grumpy face :(

According to the weaning book by Gina Ford, it is recommended that I should start cereal after the 11am milk feed so as not to cause a drastic drop in her overall milk intake... BUT she simply refused to open her mouth... full liao? don't like? not use to it? not nice? I got no answer leh...

See the SHOCK look on her face when I finally managed to get some cereal into her mouth...



Sigh... will continue to try with the Karen Lam method tomorrow - feed her before her milk instead *keep fingers crossed*

Happy Birthday to 奶奶!

Daddy brought all of us for a crabby dinner to celebrate 奶奶's birthday.

Although 妹妹 was rather cranky at first but thankfully she was asleep throughout most part of the dinner so that Mummy can feast on the crabs! *phew*

Ariel's Birthday Party

Heehee don't know what came over them and they started addressing one another as Prince/Princess... Kaeden with Kaelyn and Zenrong with Ariel. Its really cute to see them playing together. Just hearing their conversation alone is enough to make my day :) We will miss you guys so please do keep in touch!

The first time I saw Sophie, she caught my eyes as some cheapo rubber toy, BUT... after hearing great reviews about her, I went and googled in detail...

Zhiwei & Michelle's Wedding

Zhiwei was one of my not-so-closely-related cousins that I used to play with during my younger days. However, we lost touch with one another since many years ago... Think the last time I saw him and his brothers was in 2003!

The couple had their solemnisation cum buffet dinner at the Asian Civilisation Museum. It was a very unique wedding with no march in, soft music, phototaking and all the traditional stuff you see at normal banquet. In place of that was a very R&R dinner with live band on stage!

First Dip in the Pool

The weather has been unpredictable lately and we didn't want to risk Ash catching a cold hence we waited sooooo long before she finally got her first dip in the pool this afternoon.



She was alittle apprehensive at first but started moving her legs after a short while. Heehee, the expression on her face when she realised she can actually move in the water.... cUtE!





Really glad to see her enjoying it, even if its for a short 15 mins. Afterall, its the exposure that count mah. So, what is next on the list leh?

Just Ash & Us

I always wonder how can parents split their love & attention equally among their children. It is harder for me to understand as being an only child, I never have to share much.

After having Ash, all my worries seem uncalled for as things just come on naturally, both kids are a perfect match in their timing :)

No matter how busy we are with Kaeden's classes and weird demands, we always try to spend some time alone with Ash.




We hope to stand firm to our belief that: "No child should feel discounted, not even the 2nd one".

Ash's 1st attempt with Cereal

Ash had her 1st taste of rice cereal over the weekend but don't think she like it. On both attempts, she ended up bursting in tears! Haha, nevermind, will try again when she turns 5 months on the 24 April.

Is it time?

Got these sometime ago and its now time to put them into good use...

Yeah! Its CEREAL time!

Ashlyn CAN Flip!

Ash has attempted to flip several times since Monday but she always got struck mid-way. Her different responses to her 'failures' brought so much laughter to us! Its really a joy to be able to witness her milestones first-hand... something which I didnt have the chance to do with Kaeden.

In the middle of last night, she finally did a 3/4 flip! Found her backside up and happily sucking her fist.



Heehee, I simply love her never-gave-up attitude but buay tahan her before-do-anything-must-cry-first sway kuan... STILL I am enjoying every moment of my time with her. Really hope that our love (despite my impatience at times) will fill up the empty slot she will be missing from her Ah Gong & Grandma in the coming 18 months...

Life as a SAHM

This is my 3rd week being a SAHM and trust me... its really not an easy job!

My mum has officially 'washed her hands' off both kiddos (except for cooking) and so... on top of all the housework, unpacking from one box followed by repacking into another box, I have to tend to my ultra needy lil koala bear and challenging preschooler. Oops, not forgetting my fur dropping Milo! Well... at least I am STILL surviving right?

Walker & Kaeden were so nice to offer me help with the laundry last weekend... Both of them completed their 'assignment' in less than a minute and here was how they did it!



Cool hor? Simply chuck EVERYTHING into the drawer without folding/sorting! *faint*

And here is a picture of Milo, fat like anything :( almost broke my back trying to keep him still while I brush his 'fang'. 名副其实的 excess baggage ah!

Ashlyn's Milestone @ 4 Months

Just a few days ago, I was still worrying why Ash is unable to lift her head high while on her tummy and... suddenly, she is able to do it now!




Our little princess is starting to get curious with her surroundings. Every single sight/sound seems to facsinate her lots and she will go wooo ahhh in respond to it!



Her dexterity has also improved... grasping and grabbing everything within her reach. My poor glasses and hair are few of the things that has fallen under her hands! Thankfully, all are still intact :P

Time flies and she will be 5 months old on the 24th! Can't wait to start her on rice cereal. Will she take food better than Kaeden? We shall find out soon...
