Poke poke poke

Kaeden took his 1st Hep A jab and Ash had her 2nd dose of vaccine buffet (5-in-1, Pneumococcal & Rota Virus) yesterday.

The clinic was... as usual... sooooo crowded! Haiz... even with an appointment, we still have to wait almost 2 hours!

Despite being so busy, Dr Tan was really nice to explain the process in detail and assured Kaeden many times before administering the jab for him (oops, for me, I would have just grab him and POKE! lolx). I am sure gonna miss him when we leave for the states.

Kaeden is weighing 20.4Kg at height 113.5cm with perfect eyesight while Ash is weighing 6.16Kg. Both kids are growing really well *a pat for Mummy's back*

Updates on Big Move as @ 29/03

Shifting from YT to BP: We are finally done with the move from YT to BP on 19 March 2011. It has been 2 weeks staying with my parents and things are so far so good. Other than Kaeden being harder to discipline, no conflicts as yet. Instead, they have been very accomodating to the huge mess we have created in their house.

At times, I wonder if we are doing the right thing by moving in with my folks. Seems cruel to have them gotten used to us being around 24/7 and then awkward silence after we leave... YET I do not wish to regret not spending enough time with them while I can. Haiz, guess there will never be a perfect solution to everything :(

Rental: We are still in search of good tenants and hope to find one soon now that we have vacated our house. *Keeping fingers crossed*

Medical: Our family has gotten both the medical & dental clearence required for the deployment. The dentist even commented that Kaeden has a very nice and well-maintained set of pearlies white *proud*

Boxes to US: The boxes for the shipment to US arrived this afternoon... a total of 60 boxes... Looking at them made me realise how close we are to leaving... (62 days to be exact)

Beach & Jumbo!

Kaeden has been pestering us for a trip to the beach but the past few weekends has been hectic with all the packing. Now that we have settled down at my parent's place, its time to make it up to my little boy (and also to reward our tummy for the hard work done!)

It was a beautiful evening and all of us enjoyed ourselves especially ME. Haven felt this relax since the Big Move has been confirmed.

Our 2 children...

The moment I have been waiting for... MAKAN @ Jumbo! (Thanks Auntie Anna for the yummy recommendation)

Botanical Garden

Walker took the afternoon off and brought us to settle some visa stuff at the embassy. He pre-empted me that we might not be able to park and asked if I am alright with driving the car around... I so smart and replied 'yes lor'.

When I was behind the wheel... I started to tremble! By then, really is bo bian liao unless Kaeden can drive! With the security guard lOOking at me, I got no choice but to step on the accelerator and scram out of the place... My mind was a complete blank throughout the drive and before I knew it, we were at Ulu Pandan already.... :( Haiz, luckily I did a U-Turn in time and we parked safely @ Botannical Gardens shortly after. Kaeden said: "Since we are here, let's go for a walk!"

Good-Bye NUS...

16 March 2011 was my last working day @ NUS after 7 years with the school. Lots of memories of the place, both good and bad. Am glad to finally move on...

Some pictures of my farewell lunch @ 店小二 with Mr Mah and our gang from Annie's kitchen.

Updates on Big Move as @ 11/03

Job @ NUS: I have finally pluck up my courage and handed in my resignation letter last Monday. Although this has been something I have been wanting to do for the past 1.5 years but somehow actually leaving the school makes me feel sad :( Afterall, this place has been like a 2nd home to me for the past 7 years...

Shifting from YT to BP: We are now in the midst of packing. Should be all ready to move out by the 19 March 2011. Up till now, I still cannot decide which is better, renting or selling. I really love my house but staying near my parents seems more practical in the long run. YT is not exactly far from BP but when its raining and with two kids in tow... I dread to think about it... Have contributed enough to taxi fare during my 10 months of pregnancy!

Medical: Both Walker & I have completed our medical checkup and is now waiting to 'see' the doctor. At least we have one thing that is close to 100% completion!

Milo's export: Currently waiting for Pet Embassy to quote us on the cost to bring Milo over as cargo instead of checked baggage. Call me paranoid or whatever, I still prefer to fly SQ unless I have no choice. Arghhh... why doesn't SQ take in terrier breed???

Misc: Updating the change in mailing address and stocking up on stuff to ship over are in progress. According to latest info, the boxes for shipment to US will be arriving late March.

Love the below phase alot... guess its really something I need now... a shoulder to lean on and a restful mind... "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. " (Matthew 11:28 NIV)

Friends we will miss

We had a wonderful dinner with Kevin, Celeste, Klaudia, Malcolm & Tommy @ Sushi Tei last night.

It has been so long since I last met them months ago and it definitely feel good to be out on a Friday night again!

The topic of our big move made me realise how time has flies! It is already mid March and in about 2.5 months time, our family will be on the plane to our new home @ Idaho. Haiz... kinda sad to say good-bye... they will definitely be on my 'will miss' list.
