Satisfying a Toddler's taste buds

In the recent weeks, Kaeden seems to be getting fussier with the food that he is eating. He no longer likes the simple porridge which I used to cook every weekend for him but instead he is taking an interest to more adults’ food…

Since today I am on leave at home babysitting him, I have decided to whip up a ‘feast’ for him!

Breakfast:

Cocoa Crunch with Fresh Milk & Banana

Lunch:

Sweet corn, Carrot & Chicken Wing Soup with ABC Macaroni

Dinner:

Baked fish fillet sautéed with Onions & White Cheese Sauce

Supper (Haha...not supposed to have):

A corn for nibbling!

Ice-Cream MIXED with Chips Ahoy

This method of manually mixing ice-cream with selected ingredients was featured in HDB Tai Tai 2, sometime back on Channel 8.

Today before class, we happened to come across a shop in United Square selling such ice-cream and we decided to give it a try. Daddy & Mummy decided on Biscotin flavour as Ice-cream and Chips Ahoy as mixing ingredients...

Waiting to 'dig' in but Mummy insisted must take a picture before eating wor

Eyeing the ice-cream... finishing soon liao, when is my turn????!!!!

'Eye-Power' does work!!!

The Wedding of Uncle Youtiao & Auntie Peifen

Uncle Youtiao is Daddy's friend since OCS. Last night, we attended his wedding dinner at Merchant Court Hotel...

Daddy & Mummy were so relieved that I fell asleep shortly after the march in. I woke up from my snooze halfway through the dinner and became a cry-loud-enough-to-disturb-the-dinner monster... They had a hard time pacifying me... Haha! Guess they will have second thoughts about bringing me along next time!

Oh forgot to add on... to make my night even more enjoyable... I puked out my milk on Mummy!

Trial @ GUG and finally...

Last Wednesday, Mummy took leave to bring me for a trial @ GUG located at United Square. Although its a weekday, the crowds were shocking (so many ppl dun have to work!!!)

Mummy like the content of the lesson and the way it is being taught. GUG also seems to focus more on academic and discipline, something which my folks feel i am seriously lacking. Heehee, we shall wait and see... *wink*

A weekend without CAR

Daddy's car, he calls it "Hippo", has suffered some injuries on its left front wheels and is now in the workshop. Since this week we have nothing major going on, we have decided to spend the weekend at home.

And as Daddy has predicted, my itchy leg Mummy cannot tahan staying at home for the whole day! Once the rain stopped, we headed out to Bukit Panjang Plaza for dinner by BUS (Oops, we came back home by taxi though... haha)

Some thoughts to share...

Read some articles on the web today regarding parent’s view on bringing their children with them on holiday and this inspire some thoughts in me.

Be it for the culture, the shopping, the kicks of exploring a new place, both me and Walker simply love travelling! It has always been our wish to share this joy with our children. A lot of people, especially parents themselves, tell me the arrival of a baby will put an end to our interest; however we are determined to prove them otherwise.

We brought Kaeden to Bangkok for his first journey to explore the world. It was a short trip and surprisingly not that difficult after all. Kaeden was rather cooperative throughout the flight. Guess the only difficult part is travelling from place to place as Bangkok wasn’t such a baby-friendly place.

Our subsequent attempts were to Hong Kong and Taiwan. We realize with Kaeden getting older, a different set of issues arises but we never regret bringing him along with us.

We agree with the saying that our little ones may not remember the least bit about our trips when they grow up but these are memories for me and walker to reminisce when we are both old and toothless. Kaeden’s memories will be for him to create with his wife and children thus it will definitely not be a waste of money as no amount can buy back memories of our children in their growing years…

Trial @ Pat's School House

Mummy has arranged a trial at Pat's School House for me today. Overall it was quite fun but perhaps the teacher was alittle inexperience so we found the class abit disorientated. Anyway, we will continue to shop around for schools for me till we find the right one :)
