Complimentary D-I-Y Classes from the Ranch

02 December 2013

Flying Cow offered many interesting DIY classes which are suitable for both adults and children. Kudos to Daddy's good planning that we were able to fit all the classes into one afternoon!

Our first bake... Chiffon Cupcakes!

After all these years of using my Kitchen Aid to beat egg whites, today we went down to basic and used a hand whisk instead!

Lots of hard work I must say! But the end result was worth it! Yumilicious, cottony soft cupcakes baked with lots of love from all of us...

We took a short break for lunch and came back all excited to start our next class... Ice-cream making!

Quite a hassle-free process, just pour all the ingredients into the pre-frozen chamber of the ice-cream maker. Stir... stir... and stir

...and its all done!

Our last class for the day were painting the mascot for Flying Cow Ranch... the cow itself!

We spent our last hour before the sun set strolling around the ranch. Its amazing how the combination of fresh air and greeneries can have such a therapeutic effect on us! We started missing the place even before we left!

For those who are thinking of visiting the ranch, don't hesitate! Its indeed a wonderful experience especially for the kids. I am thankful that we had chosen to visit during the early Winter season! Cannot imagine having to do such intensive walking under the hot Summer sun with irritating flies as companion!

Terrific THREE!

24 November 2013

"Who is 3?"

"ME!" shouted Ash...

Yes indeed, my once-upon-a-time baby girl has turned THREE.

Couldn't believe how much the little one has grown over the 6 months since we came back.

She can now communicate better and is more aware of things around her. Not a bullier but neither one to be bullied. That's how tough our princess is despite her petite size!

We were actually procrastinating about organizing a birthday party for her but looking at her happy face, I know we did right in having one.

First Lesson @ Berries

"Intimidating" was the exact word I felt the very moment I stepped into the Ash's N2 class!

Not only were her classmates much taller than her (hence making her looked she is in the wrong class), they were all so into the curriculum already! the tipping point was when I knew that the kids are required to learn 4 words every week!

And so the little one brought home 4 "new friends" which she has to familiarize herself with for the coming week... 我的身体.

Well, the consolation was she enjoyed the lesson. That's all that matter... for now, at least :)
