Spinach, fish ball & minced pork soup

Recently, I noticed that Ash has been eating much more than usual. From less than 10 tiny mouthfuls to at least half a bowl now…

Is my nightmare of her eating like a bird finally coming to an end? I hope so because its really a joy just watching them eat :)

Ash got her ears pierced!

Few months back, we had wanted to get Ash's ears pierced and were waiting at Claire's for our turn BUT.... after witnessing the drama of the little girl before us... Daddy was unsure while Ash shook her head with a firm NO!

Don't know why our little girl started to take an interest on my earrings recently... I casually asked her if she would like it on her ears too and she actually said YES!!!

So we made a trip down to Boise today... Just to make sure she knew what she had agreed to, we asked her one last time, right outside Claire's... and its still a YES!

And she got her wish fulfilled :)

Kaeden & his Cactus

We saw this plant at West Elm while on our short trip to Salt Lake City and Kaeden asked if we could buy it for him. Well, he definitely caught the both of us by surprise with his choice of 'toys'!

Since its a good illustration of what he is currently learning in school... seed, plant and growth (something to that), there was no reason for us to say 'No'.

It has been a week and I must say, he has been taking pretty good care of his plant.

It was an otherwise quiet Snake year for the Cheng's family if not for Ian's birthday bash on 大年初一. Heehee so happy that the kids managed to soak up some CNY mood this year :)

I decided to give it another try (obviously last year's one weren't that nice!) on traditional dishes that my family used to eat on CNY and it was a SUCCESS!!!

Long long time ago, Kaeden scribbled on places that he wasn't supposed to too. Same crime, same punishment, fair right?

1st Skiing Experience

It took us really long to convince Kaeden that skiing is fun (though I don't ski myself LOL) and that he should give it a try...

Well, he finally agreed and we immediately signed him up for ski lesson @ Park City Mountain Resort!

All geared up and excited!

Prep talk by the instructor and off he went...

It was a pity I didn't catch a glimpse of the boy-in-action. Then again, seeing how eager he was to share his experience on the slope with us already told us something... he has fallen in love with skiing :)

I know He Can

Few weeks ago, Kaeden was struggling so badly with HYPY that he burst into tears while trying to complete the worksheet given by 陈老师!

I am proud that he didn't give up as his persistence has proven that he can achieve what he deemed to be "impossible" as long as he has set his heart into it :)

Universal's Islands of Adventure

It started to turn cold just when we were enjoying the warm weather :( Nevertheless, all of us had great fun at the Universal's Islands of Adventure!

Ash thoroughly enjoyed herself at Seuss Landing where bright colors and playful music filled the entire place! Even the adults love it too!

Guess what? The world I have known for years through books and movies has finally come to life... The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! I bet you can imagine my excitement the moment I stepped into Hogsmeade......

After our visit here, we got Kaeden curious about WHO Harry Potter is! And sooooo .. we spent the rest of our December holidays re-watching the entire collection of HP movies with him :)

Almost there...

Date fixed... flight details received... booking made for Milo and boxes arriving next week!

Yessss, we are finally going home! 9th May 2013...
