Off to a Magical Zoo!

After being under extreme hot weather for the past week, I was kind of dreading the visit to the Disney's Animal Kingdom...

From the name, the place seems just like any other zoo, probably with some 'magical' touch added to it. Heehee... but I am glad we made the trip. Its FUN!

We had an awesome experience with the Kilimanjaro Safari Expedition... where we trekked through the Harambe Wildlife Reserve on board a rugged open-sided safari vehicle...

Kaeden also had an enriching day with the activities conducted by the Kid's Discovery Club outposts located throughout the theme park. Through all the hands-on experiences, the children were able to explore and discover nature's wonders in a fun way :)

The land of Lego!

Legoland is a dream come true for all kids who love Lego...  adults as well, cause Walker & I simply love it :)

We had a great time at the park as it wasn't as crowded as those in Orlando. Heehee... that means shorter waiting time for us and more round on the rides for the boys!

Not to forget... my favorite Granny's Apple Fries! Yumilicious....

Kaeden had his first driving experience at the Ford Driving School where he got behind the wheel of an electric car made of Lego and drove off on his own! 1st attempt... and I have to say, he did really well! *proud*

Its a pity that almost all their rides have minimum height requirements that Ash failed to meet. Nonetheless, she was still a happy girl being pushed around in her stroller and meeting her Lego's "friends".

Star Wars Weekend @ Hollywood Studios

Such a coincident that the annual Star Wars Weekend 2012 at Disney's Hollywood Studios was held over the weekend while we were there!

Everywhere, we got to see Jedi/Jedi wannabe roaming around the park. Kind of fun to see all the Star Wars characters appearing live in front of us! Heehee... made us felt as though we were part of the movie too!

And of course... Star Wars aside, there were many other interesting attractions/Disney's characters in the park too!

Such as......

Well... one thing for sure, Kaeden has gotten very helpful now that he is older. He managed to look through the entire map, spotted all the meet-and-greets locations and brought us all the way there to get their autographs!

Kennedy Space Center

The talk about visiting the Kennedy Space Center has been on going for as long as I can remember and I am so glad we were able to fulfill Mr Cheng's dream during our stint in the US.

We took the KSC bus tour which brought us to almost all the to-visit places in the center...

...Apollo/Saturn V Center where we experienced the historic Apollo 8 launch and got up close to the massive 363-foot-long Saturn V Moon Rocket...

... LC-39 Observation Gantry to catch a panoramic view of the space shuttle launch pads...

Its an enriching day spent here at the Space Center. Everything about this place is just so amazing! After this visit, we now have a better understanding of how space exploration has pushed mankind to the next frontier!

Epcot

Epcot is one of the 4 theme parks that we visited in Orlando and it happens to be our favorite (erm, I meant the adults...) place!

The park is divided into Future World and World Showcase where...

Future World... focus on technological advancements, innovation and wonder.*

World Showcase...  a collective of Pavilions where you find shops, attractions and restaurants that represent the culture and cuisine of different countries.*

Its springtime here in Florida and all the flowers are in bloom! Everywhere throughout the park are colourful garden and dazzling Disney character topiaries. Very very beautiful indeed!

The best part of Epcot (for me, at least) would have to be the World Showcase! I was totally mesmerized by it and felt as though I was really there myself in each of the country! Can't wait to pay France, UK, Italy & Germany a visit someday...

The start to our 10 days adventure here in Disney World, Orlando...!!!

*drum roll* Our first theme park stop...... Disney's Magic Kingdom!

It was a super duper hot day and we perspired so much under the sun! Kinda feel like we are back in Singapore again :)

Nonetheless, the boys were still having lots of fun with the rides... shows... parade...while Ash and I kept ourselves cool by shopping for souvenirs!
