Strike Dam

Walker was on leave last week and even though we didn't travel out of MH, we still had a wonderful time spending every minute together.

It seem like the kids and I hardly see him around the house ever since we came over here. Probably due to the nature of his work and also the long working hours. But well... 不来都来了.

Kaeden had no school on Friday due to the Fall Teacher Conference so we brought the kids out to explore Strike Dam.

Learning to communicate

Ash hardly cries for milk unless she happened to be 'confined' inside either her cot or playyard. Usually, she will come looking for me whenever she wants food. Its really cute seeing her 'parked' herself on the floor after she spotted me and used her own language to communicate her needs.

After I responded to her, she will waited eagerly for me to make milk or prepare her cereals...

Lastly... of cos her happy face :)

It's getting cold

The weather has started getting cold lately, especially in the morning and evening. I have gotten most stuff ready for winter... or at least I think I have. The talk about how harsh the winter at MH is, has gotten me worried for the kids.

My poor Ash has already caught the flu bugs even though winter has not officially started!

She will come with us in the car to school every morning dressed in her terry sleepsuit (covered with a fleece blanket while in her car seat) from the night before. Usually, I will try to park right in front of the school gate and she will stay in the car while I dropped Kaeden off in his classroom.

It so happened that last Friday I brought her out of the car since I had to park slightly further away from the school. Just a short distance walk and that's it :(

Sigh... hope my little girl will get well soon.

CH's excursion to the Pumpkin Patch

When I first saw the notice of an upcoming excursion on the school's bulletin, I was super excited!.... till I realised they require me to drive Kaeden down to the Pumpkin Patch on my own!

With my limited road sense and driving skills, I was smart enough to sought help from my old man! Heehee... really appreciate him taking leave from work to join us :)

It was indeed a cold and wet morning as forecasted, but fear not as we came all prepared!

Big and round pumpkins are all over the patch!

The boys are busy making their selection and 'working' hard on it...

Kaeden decided that he want to 'harvest' one himself...

and so, we brought home 3 Pumpkins of different sizes! Shall awaits them being transformed into scary monsters for Halloween!

Our first hand-carved Pumpkin

We were at Walmart some evenings back and pumpkins were already out for sale! Since Walker was so determined to carve out our own pumpkin, we brought one home for him to try :)

Heehee didn't expect him to be so on and started out his 'project' that very night!

Never see him so seriously doing his 'home' work before wor

Showing me an angry face for disturbing him!

The end result was a really really pretty pumpkin! So proud of my man <_>
