上学咯!

Kaeden has officially started school in the last week of Term 2 under the request of his form teacher. I am happy that he has adapted well to the new environment even though the earlier/longer school hours seem to have tire him out pretty badly. Keeping my fingers crossed that  its just a phase and that he will soon get used to it.

The "Extra" tooth

An intended dental cleaning session turned into a day surgery planned for the following day. How could we not be in shock?

********************

Dr Ong ordered an X-Ray for Kaeden as the gap between his two front tooth was unusually wide. Indeed, there was an extra tooth, termed as the Supernumerary tooth, embedded in his gum!

A simple surgery under GA was required to remove the extra tooth so as to allow the gap to close up as well as for the tooth beside to come out. And so, the next morning, we were admitted into Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital...

I am very glad that the entire day/night of agony and worry was over in 30 minutes! Kaeden was awake shortly after being out from the operating theater. Other than being grouchy, he is doing good :)

And we are finally Home

Our eventful journey home...

The United Airline staff refused to let us check Milo in at the counter BECAUSE we don't belong to the US military. And so... either we bring Milo to the freight building down the road from the airport or we can't bring him home... But how can that be when all our guys have been doing that all along? Anyway, we gave up arguing with them and just went ahead.

Oh... did I mention her award winning comment? "Why did you even bring the darn dog here in the first place?" Amazing right? I will never forget her name... Kerri Moe, you will be so-in-trouble soon!

A 3 hour flight delay at Boise Airport left us with only 45 minutes to catch our connecting flight from San Francisco to Narita... To our horror, Milo was sent off to some cargo area instead of the oversize baggage claim counter within the airport! Walker had to rush off in a cab to retrieve Milo while me and the kids, together with all our luggage/hand carry/stroller, had to brave through the crowd/security check from the domestic airport all the way to the international airport just to catch our flight! Trust me, it was MADNESS!

Only when Walker finally got onto his seat did I managed to breathe normally... Well, I am just so glad everything was over :) *phew*

Farewell Mountain Home, Idaho, United States of America... my home for the past 2 years! Thank you for all the memories!

Our last night...

I dropped our usual weekdays routine and took the kids out for a last drive around our favourite haunts on base. To the Commissary, BX, Shoppette and just round and round...

So many fond memories of this place and I am feeling so sad with 'the day' being just a few hours away :(

Two years... its amazing how time has zoomed past so quickly without us realizing it.

70+ boxes, 7 luggage, 3 car seats, 1 dog crate and that concluded our 2 years stay here in Mountain Home AFB, Idaho...

Looking forward to another chapter of our lives back in sunny Singapore, the place that is truly our home.

Bringing Milo home

Milo will be quarantined at SAQS upon our long flight back to Singapore as part of the AVA Import of Animals Requirement... Starting to worry for him :( He is after all an old doggy. Hope that he can tahan the journey home...

My way of showing support for him... Baked Salmon! +oil Milo boy!

Cinco de Mayo

"Cinco de Mayo is a holiday observed in the United States as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride..."

GM has invited parents to join them in the school's Cinco de Mayo celebration.

Both of us were WoW-ed by the costume, the dance and the food...

...and we had great company too!

Blessed 7th Birthday!

It was a simple birthday celebration for our little boy who turned 7 on 1st May. Just a dinner at Wingers and then back home for the birthday cake he had chosen himself... Transformers!

Blessed birthday Kaeden! May you always be filled with happiness, laughter and good health!

Ash's new friend

I guess most girls, if not all, will play with dolls at some point in their childhood. Took me awhile to overcome my phobia for such dolls and accept its existence in my house.

Presenting Ash & her new friend...
