Nowaday, Mummy say that i seldom get drowsy after drinking my milk during the day thus very difficult to get me to nap. Thus, she and Daddy got me a Fisher Price play gym to keep me entertain so that Mummy can get some housework done.

Although my hands are still too short to reach the hanging toys but i enjoyed simply staring at it. Afterall, its a new things to me mah. Heehee, wonder how long this will last me before i get tired of it hor?

An eventful day!

Daddy and Mummy have been spending the whole saturday morning lazing around on the sofa deciding on where to go! Both of them are complaining that bringing me out is very 'ma-fun' as they got to prepare alot of stuff. Poor me, got no choice but have to 'guai guai' sit there and wait, later i make noise, they don't bring me out lagi worse!

So sleepy!

Sigh...after one hour, they still have not reach a conclusion yet. Ended up, they boh liao till ask me to pose for picture.

Finally.....

Mummy suggested Sizzler at Toa Payoh Central for lunch - can eat, can shop and can visit granny. One stone kill 3 birds!

Fond memories...

Just bought a tub of California Baby Calendula Cream for Kaeden to try out yesterday. After his bath this morning, i opened up and applied some onto his neck. The lavender scent of the cream on Kaeden brought me back so many fond memories of the Hokkaido Trip that i went with Walker last year.

Remembering last year at this time, we were so stress about trying for a baby that we decided to give ourselves a break and go for a trip together. We chose Hokkaido as July is the season for lavender and sunflowers. We were still joking about procreating amidst the lavender patch but to my disappointment, they were too short to hide both of our fat bodies!

Well, thanks to the trip, i was pregnant with Kaeden shortly after we came back!

"Rub-A-Dub-Dub" time

Today is a big achievement for me!!!

For the first time in weeks, Kaeden did not fuss or cry at all during my bathing session with him. Usually, he will start to scream at the top of his lungs and grab on tightly to my t-shirt whenever i try to lower him into the water. He refuse to let go of me even when he is safely in the tub. I have tried all ways to pacifiy him, from singing to talking to him but none seems to work. Thus, i was taken by surprise today when he actually smile at me when i was washing his hair!!!

Heehee...manage to take some pictures of Kaeden before he turns cranky for his milk milk.

First scratch on Kaeden's face

I never realised that my heart will ache so much just because of a small scratch on Kaeden's face. Well today, i finally experience that.

Kaeden puked out his milk while i was trying to burp him this afternoon after his feed. His mittens got wet as a result and since the laundries are still wet from washing, i decided to let him do without it for just awhile. Who knows the next moment i pick him up from the sofa, he got a super long scratch on his face starting from his forehead to below his eyes!!! Wah, i can feel my heart break that very instance!!!

The past weeks...

Kaeden has finally settled into a 3 hourly feeding schedule. That was quite a relieve for both of us as we were tired out by his initially erratic hours. It really wasn't easy taking care of a newborn, especially when both of us are first time parents. Alot of patience and preservence are required, as most of the time, we hardly understand what he wants.

Whether be it hungry, hot, poo, diaper wet etc, his only way of communicating to us is CRY. The best we could do was to try out everything we can think of and whichever method that can calm him down will be the source of irritation to him.

Being the quick-tempered one as always, i was practically in a bad mood most of the time. I think Kaeden prefers Daddy's calmness thus Walker always seem to be able to sooth his cries better than i do. . Heehee, what a bad Mummy i am!

Daddy's secret weapons:

1) Deafness (immunity to loud cry)
2) Slow reaction (by the time the crying gets to his nerves.... he is back in bed!!)
3) Fast hand fast leg (situation is controlled with speed & accuracy)
4) Creative (imagine the cry meaning, 98.45% accurate diagnosis.)
