The kitchen set arrived yesterday and the 'boss' of the new shop was so eager to have it set up! Luckily, Walker managed to have it put together before he leave for work... otherwise my poor ear would have suffered yesterday :P
Setting up his diner and getting ready for his 1st customer...
A happy customer indeed!
Its really fun watching the 2 of them play... although Ash is not really able to communicate verbally with Kaeden yet but somehow they always managed to click! Both of them are a blessing to us :)

Ashlyn's food diary
Ash is a fussier baby compared to Kaeden and is especially so when it comes to food (maybe that is why i put on a whooping 20kg when I was pregnant with her!) But still, I refuse to give up when she rejected both cereals and pureed vegetables as I believe healthy eating habits should start from young :)
7am+ - Milk (150ml), Cereal (2 tbsp) + Milk (60ml) + Yogurt (1 tbsp)
9am+ - Milk (150ml) and Nap
12pm+ - Cereal (2 tbsp) + Stock (1 tbsp) + Meat/Vege (3 tbsp) + Fruit (1 tbsp)
3pm+ - Milk (150ml) and Nap
6pm+ - Cereal (2 tbsp) + Stock (1 tbsp) + Meat/Vege (3 tbsp) + Fruit (1 tbsp)
7pm+ - Milk (150ml) and End of Day (Yippee!)
And so... these are what I came out with and she love it!
Stock for her cereal. Super sweet yet no salt/sugar etc added.
Chicken, Onion, Carrot & Potato
Cod Fish, Onion, Butternut Squash & Broccoli
Salmon, Onion, Sweetcorn & Zucchini
Our Princess gave me headache when it comes to fruits too :( Seems like she prefers fusion wor! lolx
Apple & Blueberry...
I am still trying hard to think of different combination of food so that she won't get bored. If anyone can think of any, please do share with me :)

Our 31st Birthday in a Foreign Land
Walker and I celebrated our birthday in the United States... Something that we always wish for but never expect it to come true.
It was just a simple affair at home, nothing glamorous or WOW, nonetheless, I felt so blessed and contented having my family with me :) "哪里有我们,哪里就是家!" - Cheng Boon Ping
Bought an electric grill specially for this occassion as the weather was still super hot then. Didn't want to be BBQ by the sun!
Since the birthday boy mentioned that he craved for Satay, I did my best to come out with some. It was my first time marinating the meat from scratch and it was AWESOME!
Our hungry boy can't wait to sink his teeth into the piece of meat that he had been grilling for ages...
He turned 31!
My birthday was on a Thursday and Walker specially took leave for me! *jumping for joy*
We spent the day shopping at Walmart while waiting to pick Kaeden from school.
And then Joan & Kristine surprised me with my fav B&J + a pressie for MOI! Thanks Girls!
We decided to do a BBQ in the backyard since the weather was super cooling that evening. Our Chef for the night...
It certainly felt good to be doing NOTHING for once!
And I was all smiles to see my favourite character on my birthday cake! Happy Birthday to MYSELF :)

Salt Lake City
03 September 2011
It was a last minute decision to visit Salt Lake City, Utah over the labour day weekend and am very glad that we went. SLC is indeed a beautiful place surrounded by many mountains! Well worth the 5 hours drive! (considering all the yummy food we found!)
Our first stop was for lunch @ Golden Dragon Restaurant...
Verdict: Taste so so only. Not that fantastic leh
And then next was to IKEA Draper to get the highchair and bath tub for Ash :)

Dim Sum breakfast at Hong Kong Tea House
Verdict: Yumilicious! Will definitely go there again on our next trip to SL :)
We brought Kaeden to the Discovery Gateway which is a Children's Museum located in Gateway Mall. He enjoyed himself meddling with all the interactive and hands-on exhibits. Even Walker & I had fun too!
The rest of the day were spent shopping @ Park City followed by a sumptuous Japanese dinner at Kyoto Restaurant. Met many of the guys there too! This place seems like a popular hangout among Singaporeans!

Back to Portland
12 August 2011
Our first destination when we returned back to Portland was to Voodoo Doughnut! Just the name itself got me intrigued *curious curious*
Haha was quite a shock for me to see such a loooong Q outside the shop! Not exactly a common sight over here hence we deduced that the doughnuts must be really GOOD!
Yeah! We got it! Bought some for Mark and Joan to try as well!
And finally...... Our grocery loots from the trip :)
