Seems like a long time since I last felt excited about going to Dr Ho. Finally, today the feeling will be different as Hubby is backed from his trip and thus, will be going with me for my routine checkup. Yippee!!!
We greeted the nurses with the most cheerful “Good Morning” upon entering the clinic but everyone seems gloomy including Dr Ho. Guess they must be expecting a busy day ahead as I overheard the nurses saying that Dr Ho has a couple of induction deliveries today. After the routine measuring of my weight and blood pressure, I handed in my home-monitoring glucose test homework for Dr Ho to access. Hope that he will find the results satisfactory enough to reduce my monitoring to once a week. Pricking my fingers 7 times a day for 2 consecutive days per week is really no joke leh.
The scan was a quick one to check Kaeden’s heartbeat and size. His weight now is at 1.830 kg which Dr Ho commented that it’s good. I am asked to do up a daily fetal movement chart to monitor Kaeden’s condition by counting the number of movements he makes in a day. Sounds complicated to me but guess will just have to go ahead. Well, the good news is that my home-monitoring glucose test is reduced to once per week… so happy!
Oh and before I forget... first time in history, we don’t have to pay a single cent for today checkup! Haha... isn’t today worth commemorating?
