Finally the long awaited day is here – 23 September 2005. Today is the day for my second visit to “confirm my pregnancy”. Been so worried for the last one week of the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy (which is commonly defines as implantation of the sac outside the uterus, usually in the fallopian tubes) as I wasn’t able to detect the gestational sac within the womb during my previous visit.
As the visit is scheduled in the morning, hubby and I went to grab a quick bite of MacDonald’s Sausage Muffin before heading down to Dr Ho’s clinic. Surprisingly, this time round, we didn’t have to wait long before it is our turn.
A V-Scan was done and Dr Ho was pointing out the bean-liked looking thing to me as the gestational sac. Though I couldn’t quite visualize the sac but I am relieved to hear that everything is right on track, well, at least for now! Daddy was also asked to come forward to have a look but I guess from the blurness on his face, he too had a hard time identifying!

Baby No 1: Week 4 & Day 3
Called Dr Ho first thing in the morning to book an appointment with him but as I am having a slight cramp in the abdomen area, the nurse ask me to go down for a checkup on the very same day. After a dramatic high and low search, finally found the Daddy to fetch me to the gynae.
The queue was as usual, super long; however, this time the feeling is completely different from the previous visit which we went for the fertility checkup. It is no longer filled with envy of those preggy mums but instead, is the sharing of happiness together with them. My estimated delivery date (EDD) is on the 21 May 2006 and I am currently in my 4 weeks and 3 days.
Dr Ho greeted us with a warm smile; we sat down, chatted for a while before proceeding with the V-Scan. As it is still in the early stage of the pregnancy, all we can see is only the thickening of the uterus lining. No sign of the gestational sac can be seen yet thus I am scheduled to come down again next week to “confirm my pregnancy”. Before I left the clinic, words of “Congratulations” from the nurses filled the air… What a nice feeling, I thought!

Baby No 1: Week 4 & Day 2
Today date is 13 September 2005. I have just tested a “POSITIVE” on my pregnancy using 2 Clearblues and a Dip Stick. Kiasu right? Almost couldn’t believe my eyes, it was a mixture of shock and happiness! Tried calling hubby and telling him the good news but guess because of my stammer and excitement, he was confused at what I was trying to tell him too! Will be calling to make an appointment with Dr H K Ho for a checkup tomorrow.
