Merry Christmas
We SURVIVED!
Ash is ONE month old! And yessss... that also marked the end of my month long confinement with ginger and sesame oil!
So many worries and uncertainties of not being able to handle Ash on our own were all uncalled for. Although we were quite shagged out to be waking up every 3-4 hourly for night feeding/fussing but I believe we will SURVIVE!

First outing as a family of 4
We went back to my office this afternoon with some gifts to thank my colleagues for their well-wishes on the arrival of lil Ash...
This outing can be considered as our first one as a family of 4 and I am proud to say we did quite well. Though abit 手忙脚乱 when Ash started wailing for her milk, I still managed to pacify her till I got my barangs from Walker who went to put our shopping stuff in the car!
After 2 hours of walking around, all of us were shagged out!

Ashlyn's Baby Shower
We had a small celebration for Ashlyn just days before she turned one month old. How time flies...
All of us including Kaeden, were overly excited to see our friends that we forgotten to take any picture with them!
Thankfully, we have a few shots of here and there before the start of the baby shower. Enjoy!
Our angry little Princess, taken after her haircut by me :)
Decorations @ the function room...
Beautiful mini cupcakes...
Yummy food ordered from Rasel Food Fusion...
The 3 of us...
Gift & Angpows from our friends
Looking forward to another one (maybe too late to be called baby shower) with our old friends since long long time ago... Uncle Alvin/Aunty Serena, Uncle Chris/Aunty Judy & Uncle Gee/Aunty Selene!

Brother & Sister
Aunty & Walker went marketing, leaving the 3 of us at home. We were playing in the room when Ash cried for her milk. I told Kaeden to help me watch Ash while I made milk in the kitchen.
When I came back, Kaeden was literally WATCHING over his little sister. So sweet of him to stop his game halfway (which he hardly does unless I nag and nag) to make sure Ash is safe while I am away...

Ash's Jaundice Updates
Just received a call from Kinderclinic that the level of Bilirubin in Ash has dropped from 13+ (4 December 2010) to 11+ (7 December 2010). Phew!
Although still a little off from the 'safe' level at 10, we are thankful that Ash need not go for any more heart-wrenching blood test :)

Day out with Daddy
Takashimaya is having an additional 10% member sale and Daddy & I were tasked to head downtown to get some baby stuff for Ash as well as Xmas shopping.
Pictures we took along the way...
Big Xmas tree outside Ion Orchard
Wow... such spectacular view!

Umbilical Cord
It has been 10 days since Ash's arrival and this morning after bathing, her umbilical cord fell off... Well Done Ash! Another one of her first few milestones reached.
She looked so different from the first time we see her... with her face features changing everyday. Its really such a joy... just sitting there and watching her as there seems to be always something new to discover about our little princess!

Lil Ash's first visit to the PD
We brought Ash for her jaundice checkup with Dr Terence Tan this morning and is happy to know that she has put on 285g since her birth 8 days ago... heehee seems like my milk is making her 'fat'!
Before we left the house, we told Kaeden that we are bringing Ash to draw blood... he insisted on carrying her as a form of encouragement *so sweet*
The blood test results came back borderline at 15.1. Though not serious enough to warrant an admission, we will have to go back on Saturday (4 December 2010) for another blood test.

Emotional
Lil Ash has been crying for the past 2 days... She seems to be hungry but can never finish her 30ml of milk (What happened to the 30ml of FM/BM every 4 hours recorded @ Mt Alvernia???) Put her to rest on the cot and she started wailing away again. Hasn't been poo-ing as often as I thought a newborn should too...
The most saddening part is I couldn't be the one to take care of her as Auntie is telling me I should rest more. I know she meant well and she has been a great help since we returned home on Saturday, however... me being a silly mother, just couldn't set my heart at peace knowing my little girl is crying for dunno what reason.
I miss her inside my tummy where I could carry her everywhere I go 24/7. When have I turned into such a possessive mummy?
On a positive note, I am really very touched by Kaeden's concern for me. I felt so helpless that I couldn't resist crying in my room. He came looking for me and gave me a hug: Mummy, please don't be sad ok, I am here for you... I love you son...
God, please keep Lil Ash safe and healthy. Amen...

Relaxing day
26 November 2010
Had a super duper good sleep the previous night and started a new day with yummy breakfast - half boiled eggs.
Finally my first confinement meal in Mount Alvernia after being ordered soft diet by Dr Ho for the past few days...
After lunch, all of us had a turn carrying Lil Ash and boy was she so irresistible!
Our first family picture together... The Cheng's Family
