Kaeden and I were alittle shock when we first heard Ash shouts "No! MINE"!

Haha seems like along with the good things she learnt from school... she brought home some of the 'not-so-good' stuff too.

Her new nickname from Kaeden... 'Tiger Ashlyn'!

Coit Tower & Sausalito

We spent Day 2 of our time in SFO visiting places that we didn't manage to cover the last time when we were here in 2009.

Our breakfast was at a very traditional 烧腊 shop in Chinatown... with cheap and good food at only $14 bucks!

Its then to Coit Tower situated on top of Telegraph Hill...

followed by the famous Sausalito's Historic Wooden Houseboat Tour along the Dock of the Bays...

Such beautiful houses with fantastic views :) If only we have a chance to experience staying in one of those houseboat.

We ended our day with a wonderful dinner at Scoma's... 

this time round with a table for 4 :)  

San Francisco

We arrived at 1 Jelly Belly Lane as our first stop towards San Francisco.

All of us enjoyed the factory tour even though its not our 1st visit here. Well... its always fun to see how the different varieties of Jelly Beans were being made in a working factory! 

With our hotel being just a few minutes walk to Fishermen's Wharf... how could we resist heading there straight? Haha we chiong there right after checking in!

Nothing seems to have changed much... the usual street art like the "spray can painter" and the "silver-man" were still there. Heehee... and of course, my favourite Boudin's too!

We even had time to explore some parts of Chinatown... its funny how the place that I so so dislike previously has now become a paradise to me! Guess that's the normal for someone who has been staying in ulu Potatoland way tooooo long! *oops*

She waved 'bye' to me!

Its Ash's Day 12 in Grace Montessori and this morning, she walked into class herself, waved 'bye' to me and mumbled something that sounded like 'see you later'! Both me and her teacher had a good laugh.

I am so proud of my princess :)

青出于蓝，胜于蓝

As the standard of the Math in Potatoland is very different from ours back home, I have temporary took over the position as Kaeden's Math teacher.

I am impressed with the way Kaeden interprets numbers...

6 + 6 =

He knows 5 + 5 = 10. Since 6 is 1 more than 5 and there are two 6s, that makes 10 + 2 = 12.

30 + 20 =

He puts aside the 0s and 3 + 2 = 5 and put back the 0, that makes 50.

Ash's 3rd week of school

Ash is in her 3rd week of school and although she still cries when I dropped her off in the morning, she stopped almost immediately the moment I stepped out of the door!

According to Ms Debbie, she has also started participating in class activities and outdoor play with her fav being... snack time! Not surprising to me since she is our family's junk food princess!

I have noticed that ever since she started school, she has become more responsive and is able to communicate better with us. Just today, she saw me taking out a packet of apple juice and she went nodding her head and shouted "Apple" with a slang!

Kaeden DID it!

Yessssss! Kaeden managed to cycle on a 2-wheeler! Another milestone achieved :)
