Epcot

24 May 2012

Epcot is one of the 4 theme parks that we visited in Orlando and it happens to be our favorite (erm, I meant the adults...) place!

The park is divided into Future World and World Showcase where...

Future World... focus on technological advancements, innovation and wonder.*

World Showcase...  a collective of Pavilions where you find shops, attractions and restaurants that represent the culture and cuisine of different countries.*

(*extracted and summarized from Walt Disney World's website)

Its springtime here in Florida and all the flowers are in bloom! Everywhere throughout the park are colourful garden and dazzling Disney character topiaries. Very very beautiful indeed!

The best part of Epcot (for me, at least) would have to be the World Showcase! I was totally mesmerized by it and felt as though I was really there myself in each of the country! Can't wait to pay France, UK, Italy & Germany a visit someday...

Disney's Magic Kingdom

23 May 2012

The start to our 10 days adventure here in Disney World, Orlando...!!!

*drum roll* Our first theme park stop...... Disney's Magic Kingdom!

It was a super duper hot day and we perspired so much under the sun! Kinda feel like we are back in Singapore again :)

Nonetheless, the boys were still having lots of fun with the rides... shows... parade...while Ash and I kept ourselves cool by shopping for souvenirs!

Journey to the East

22 May 2012

Off to the world where dreams come true...

After what seem like hours on the plane, we finally reached Orlando International Airport!

Woohoo...!

We collected our luggage...

found our 'magical' ride to the resort...

and landed us in a 'magical' place... Disney's All-Star Movies Resort!

A tiny surprise for Kaeden by the resort's staff when they realized his birthday was in May :) Super sweet and that definitely made our little boy's day...

the ONE year MARK

31 May 2012

It has been exactly a year since we packed our bags, left our families/friends and arrived here in Potatoland.

Quite abit of happenings over the year, both good & bad... but most importantly is that we have learnt to cope, resolve issues together as one :)

Once in a while, I still find it hard to believe that I actually manage to survive and remain sane as a stay-at-home-mum in a foreign land being on my own most of the time! *+ points*

From one who never succeed with premix to one that could cook/bake from scratch... *+ points*

Producing excellent academic result in 'talent development' of Mr Kaeden Cheng... *+ points

And sooooooo, CEO of Walker Inc, don't you think I deserve a reward huh?

My little girl @ 18 months

Walker brought Ash (his very first time!) for her vaccinations this morning. A total of 2 jabs on her left & right thigh respectively *ouch*

My mini-girl has finally put on some decent weight since her last weight check @ 16.5 months! Her statistics are:

Weight @ 9.3kg
Height @ 78.5cm

Mother's Day Tea @ CH

I attended a Mother's Day tea organised by CH and although it was just a simple session with the kids singing us a song, it warmed my heart a lot.

My little boy then served me some food and he specially picked the non chocolate-ty one for me knowing that I am not feeling well :)

Heehee not forgetting my Mother's Day presents from Kaeden. Such pretty drawings right?
